* [ International ] Asian Migrant Center : The Asian Migrant Center (AMC) operates as a monitoring, research, information, publishing, training, support and action center dedicated to the promotion of human rights and empowerment of migrant workers and their families in Asia.

* [ International ] Center for Comparative Immigration Studies : The Center for Comparative Immigration Studies (CCIS) is an organized Research Unit of the University of California-San Diego. Its primary missions are to conduct comparative (especially cross-national) and policy-oriented research, train academic researchers, students, and practitioners, and disseminate research conducted under its auspices to academics, policymakers, and NGOs through research seminars, conferences, publications, the internet, and the mass media.

* [ International ] Center for Ethnic and Migration Studies : The Center for Ethnic and Migration Studies (CEDEM) was created in 1995. It is an interfaculty center which aim is to carry out theoretical and empirical research in the fields of human migrations, ethnic relations and racism. Among others, the Center is interested in the relations between migration processes and uneven development.

* [ International ] Center for Immigration Studies : The Center for Immigration Studies is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit research organization founded in 1985. The Center's mission is to expand the base of public knowledge and understanding of the need for an immigration policy that gives first concern to the broad national interest.

* [ International ] Center for Migration Studies in New York : The Center for Migration Studies in New York is a non-profit organization; its primary goal is to support and undertake research, and to provide a forum for debate on international migration.

* [ International ] Center For Refugee Studies : The Center for Refugee Studies is engaged in research on refugee issues. Refugee Studies is concerned with the displacement of populations and individuals across and within borders, for reasons of persecution, expulsion, violence, violation of fundamental human rights, and loss of essential human security and livelihood.

* [ International ] Center on Migration Policy and Society : The Center on Migration Policy and Society (COMPAS) at the University of Oxford conducts research in order to develop theory and knowledge, inform public opinion and contribute to policy debates on migration. The mission of the COMPAS is to provide a strategic, integrated approach to understanding contemporary and future migration dynamics across sending areas and receiving contexts in the UK and EU.

* [ Euro-Med ] Consortium for Applied Research on International Migration (French version): The objective of the Euro-Mediterranean Consortium for Applied Research on International Migration (CARIM) is to offer an instrument to observe, analyze, and forecast migratory movements, their causes and consequences, that originate from, transit through, or are destined for the countries of the Barcelona Process, that is the European Union and the Mediterranean partners.

* [ International ] Development Research Center on Migration, Globalization and Poverty : The Development Research Center on Migration, Globalization and Poverty aims to examine migration flows in which poor people themselves are most represented and how migration impacts variously on their livelihoods, rights and levels of social protection.

* [ International ] European Council on Refugees and Exiles : The European Council on Refugees & Exiles (ECRE) is a pan-European network of refugee-assisting non-governmental organizations. It aims to promote the protection and integration of refugees in Europe based on the values of human dignity, human rights, and an ethic of solidarity.

* [ International ] Global Rights : Global Rights is a human rights advocacy group that partners with local activists to challenge injustice and amplify new voices within the global discourse. With offices in countries around the world, they help local activists create just societies through proven strategies for effecting change.

* [ International ] Information and Support Group for Immigrants (French version): The Information and Support Group for Immigrants (GISTI), based in Paris, is an association specialized in the rights of foreigners. The goals of this association are to gather information on the judicial, economic, and social situation of foreigners and immigrants to support their actions in order to respect their rights equally, and to fight all forms of racism, direct or indirect, as well as, all discrimination.

* [ International ] International Catholic Migration Commission (French version): The commission works with refugees, internally displaced people and forced migrants, and gives priority to the most vulnerable and marginalized among these groups. ICMC responds to immediate needs and, at the same time, works for more durable solutions.

* [ International ] International Center for Migration Policy Development : The International Center for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) is an inter-governmental organization based in Vienna. ICMPD was created in 1993; it is an inter-governmental organization with a European focus and global interests. It strives at being the center of excellence in migration policy development. It fosters regional and international orderly migration regimes by supporting governments and institutions through policy expertise, research and information, dialogue and networking facilities.

* [ International ] International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion : The Network of International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion (IMISCOE) was established by 19 European Research Institutes to provide comprehensive theoretical and empirical knowledge on how to manage demand and supply-driven migration, how to integrate the resident immigrants, and how to adapt institutional arrangements to preserve social cohesion for the EU member states in order to form a reliable basis for policy.

* [ International ] International Network on Displacement and Resettlement : The International Network on Displacement and Resettlement (INDR) is composed of professionals working to assure that people who are forcefully displaced become beneficiaries rather than victims of development. It provides a virtual, global communications network of scholars, practitioners, and policy makers attempting to prevent development-induced impoverishment.

* [ International ] International Organization for Migration-IOM: The IOM is an inter-governmental organization, it acts with its partners in the international community to Encourage social and economic development through migration, and upholds the human dignity and well-being of migrants.

* [ Lebanon ] Migrant Network : The Lebanese NGO Forum (LNF) focuses its attention on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The LNF developed and initiated a special resettlement program to address this large-scale human tragedy, ranging from infrastructure rehabilitation to legal awareness and education campaigns, in an effort to eliminate the sequels of war, participate in the consolidation of national reconciliation and contribute to the reconstruction of the Rule of Law in Lebanon.

* [ International ] Migrants Rights International: is a non-governmental organization and federation of migrant organizations and non-governmental organizations promoting the human rights of migrants. Its purposes are to promote recognition and respect for the rights of all migrants.

* [ International ] Migration Information Source: provides data from numerous global organizations and governments, and global analysis of international migration and refugee trends. The Source offers useful tools, vital data, and essential facts on the movement of people worldwide.

* [ International ] Migration Policy Group : The Migration Policy Group (MPG) is committed to policy development on migration and anti-discrimination, with the aim of generating innovative and effective responses to the challenges and opportunities of migration and diversity.

* [ International ] Migration Policy Institute : The Migration Policy Institute (MPI) is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit think-tank in Washington, D.C. dedicated to the study of the movement of people worldwide. MPI provides analysis, development, and evaluation of migration and refugee policies at the local, national, and international levels.

* [ International ] National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights : The National Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (NNIRR) is a national organization composed of local coalitions and immigrant, refugee, community, religious, civil rights and labor organizations and activists. The National Network bases its efforts in the principles of equality and justice, and seeks the enfranchisement of all immigrant and refugee communities in the United States through organizing and advocating for their full labor, environmental, civil and human rights.

* [ International ] Refugee Council Online : The Refugee Council is the largest organization in the UK working with asylum seekers and refugees; it is independent and registered as a charity organization. It gives help and support, and works with asylum seekers and refugees to ensure that their needs and concerns are addressed.

* [ International ] Refugee Net : Refugee net is the website of the EU Networks on Reception, Integration and Voluntary Repatriation of Refugees and is a source of information and ideas related to the Integration of Refugees in Europe. The aim of the EU Networks is to develop issue-oriented networks on refugee integration themes such as education, language, vocational training, health, reception and voluntary return.

* [ International ] Scalabrini Migration Center (SMC): The Scalabrini Migration Center (SMC) is a non-profit research institute that is dedicated to encourage and facilitate the study of socio-demographic, economic, political, psychological, historical, legislative and religious aspects of human migration and refugee movements from and within Asia.

* [ International ] Southern African Migration Project : Southern African Migration Project (SAMP) is an international partnership network linking organizations in Canada and six Southern African states committed to collaborative research, training, public education and policy development on migration issues, funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). The SAMP project has four main components: applied migration research, policy advice and monitoring, migration training and public education.

* [ International ] The International Center for Migration, Ethnicity and Citizenship (ICMEC): The International Center for Migration, Ethnicity and Citizenship (ICMEC), based at the New School University in New York, engages in scholarly research and public policy analysis bearing on international migration, refugees, and the incorporation of newcomers.

* [ International ] United States Committee for Refugees and Immigrants : The Mission of the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants is to address the needs and rights of persons in forced or voluntary migration worldwide by advancing fair and humane public policy, to facilitate and provide direct professional services, and to promote the full participation of migrants in community life.
